When auctioned from the slavershouse, ti'gra ended up belonging ot the city of Koroba, where she'd been born. Per the administrator's wishes, she remained a city slave for some time before he again put her up for sale, wanting to see her grow more completely in an individual collar. Two bidders came, viewed the beast, tested her, and placed their bids. One stirred the ache in her belly, but it was the other they chose for her owner -- CancerStick.
CancerStick had a ferocious temper, but by her absolute obedience, ti'gra managed to avoid the worst of it. His past was carefully shrouded to hide the details of his blood-rage, merely citing himself as a fierce warrior and metalworker.
Ti'gra served CancerStick faithfully for a bit over one month...when he suddenly disappeared, never to return. The finest trackers in Koroba could not trace him. Three hands later, his collar was removed and she was put back into city steel to wait one more hand before abandonment could be declared.
At this point, the city died off...slaves ran, Warriors deserted, Women slipped away with their guards. The only ones left were the Administrator, his Woman, and ti'gra. She went days without seeing a soul, days of drifting around the central cylinder in quiet despair.
Finally, it became too much for the girl. She stole a set of robes and veils from a laundry line, bound her hair up, and escaped the city, running to the crossroads in despair.
