With her newfound Freedom, Ti'graine again found herself homeless. Tabuk Ford held too many memories, and she'd not found a camp worth moving into. When Frank and Edgar, the mercenaries that continued to escort and protect her, had seen her Freed, they'd given most of her former Master's wealth into her keeping, knowing their Leader would have wanted his property cared for to the best of his ability even beyond his death. So she had coin and Freedom, but no place to feel at home. Like a great many of the homeless of gor, she found herself loitering in the Sardar Fair in its off season, hoping for fate to touch her life once more.
And one day, it did...in the form of Ottar Brosa, a Tuchuk she'd become acquainted with in Venna, while owned by Laird. He was stunned to see her Free, and had a laugh over the girl who'd served him so well now being a Free Woman, but he engaged her in conversation to enjoy her company, as had been his wont even back in Venna when she'd been a slave. After a time, seeing the turmoil in her, he removed the red leather thong that bound his bicep and took a small section of her hair, weaving a braid and tying it with the thong. He told her that even as the thong had bound his strength for so long, so he hoped to impart to her some of that strength by gifting it to her. He went on to tell her that he was in the process of establishing his own camp and offered her a place within it. He was as engaging and interesting as she'd always found him, and despite his teasing of her, she accepted the offer readily.
With no clan of her own, Ti'graine took on the clan of one of her mentors, Chancey Wolf-Cabot, and began training as a Scarrer.
